Message from the Athletic Director
Dear Somerton Students & Community:
It fills me with so much pride to serve as your Athletic Director. Being raised in Somerton, I understand & value the pride and work ethic that is instilled in our students. Our education based athletic programs will challenge, support and prepare students for college, career and community. We will empower student-athletes to exhibit sportsmanship and develop lifelong skills.
Somerton High School offers three different seasons of athletics and two activities (chess & spiritline) that fall under the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). In our inaugural year, we were able to offer and participate in all sports that campuses in the Yuma Union High School District offer. We are eager to "WIN with Excellence" and establish programs that will be successful for our student-athletes for years to come.
I want to thank every organization and community member that has supported and will support the Somerton HS. We would not be successful with you and we appreciate all you have done for us.
Go Toros!!
